About The Roots Routes

The Roots Routes is an award-winning Cultural Experience Design Studio based in Old Town Bangkok. Our tour experiences are based on specific cultural themes, and can be designed to cater to various interests, including expression, habitat, art and craft, wellness, believed tradition, and cuisine. The primary goals of a cultural experience studio are to provide participants with opportunities to engage with and gain a deeper understanding of the local culture of a particular region or community. As a Cultural Experience Studio, we aim to “Travel Deeper,” going beyond the typical tourist experience and fostering connections between travelers and the local community, promoting cultural exchange, and creating a more authentic and meaningful journey.

Responsibilities

Our guided tours are crafted to enrich each destination and local culture with immersive “Storytelling.” As our Tour Guide, you will be at the forefront of delivering these cultural experiences and fulfilling the travel curiosity of our guests!   

You will be responsible for providing guided tours for our clients, acting as a cultural ambassador showcasing the deeper sides of Bangkok filled with rich stories and passionate locals. Your primary tasks include communicating with customers, being well-prepared for tailor-made sequences, and having knowledge of Thai cultural heritage. 

Qualifications

• Expertise in leading private guided tours with a guide license.   

• Demonstrate trust and ensure travelers’ safety along the paths.  

• Have exceptional communication, storytelling, and customer service skills.

• Background in cultural and historical knowledge of local attractions in Bangkok.  

• Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving.   

• Fluency in English.
